Yesterday
The day started off on a very strong note with the E-minis up 7.00. As the day progressed the E-minis sold off to unchanged and remained there as NATO talked about sending troops to Estonia as a signal to Putin to pull back from its aggressive agenda. In addition AAPL fell 4% in response to the iCloud break in and Samsung’s new releases.
Today
Things are going to get a little dicey for a short period of time, making a guess about future market movement a little confusing. The geopolitical mess (the increased pressure from NATO against Russia, the seeming breakdown in talks between Putin and the Ukraine president, etc.) make world peace a little more dicey.
I am guessing here, but I would not be surprised t see US and Russian tensions increase as Putin has more international pressure put on him over the Ukraine and Syria. I would not be surprised to see Putin push Obama’s resolve again as every time the two confronted each other Obama blinked. It is a lot of fun to win a contest, an every time Putin pushes Obama he wins. Why not try another spin of the wheel?
In the end I would NOT be surprised if at the height of tensions with Russia and the US the two countries reunite their past friendship by taking a joint stance against the ISIS idiots. A joint strike of ISIS by Russia and the US would defuse the situation totally. I know some find this asinine, but ISIS is threatening both Obama and Putin over their Syria interests.
And we could use Russia’s help given Obama’s latest comments where he stated he has no idea what to do with ISIS.
Terry taught POT last night, and despite being out to dinner with students in Italy I am sure he did a great job.
POT is held each Wednesday night at 7:00pm eastern.
Class concluded after 3 days of fun and education. A field trip around the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Pantheon and other sites was done as well 3 intense days of education.
We initiated 2 different paper trades to use as an example which will be followed through. I may elect to add more. In addition, should the markets take a big drop in the near future (with volatility increases) I will likely have a special online class bonus. I am NOT done with this class material an content as selling premium is my favorite strategy.
I want to thank everyone who were in the class. This was a great class and much of it success was due to people in attendance.
I want to thank Paulo and Giuseppe for their awesome hospitality and friendship. Giuseppe assisted us with the internet that made this class more reliable from an internet perspective. Also I want to thank Janou for her assistance. I can fire 3 girls when I have her kind assistance.
