Morning Update: June 13, 2014

Yesterday

WARNING: BEFORE I START…..I am not speaking as a republican or a democrat. Pretty much given up on either party caring for the people they allegedly serve. So don’t get the panties in a bunch reading this. If you like (or dislike) Obama, Boehner, Putin, etc. the empirical evidence of all of their indecisions/decisions is pretty clear. Obama could be the world’s best checker player, but the rest of the world is playing chess.

Quite frankly, I am so overwhelmed by the audacity and stupidity of this administration I CAN’T even talk about it. But we as a nation deserve or like stupid leaders because we keep voting in people without resumes. We vote in guys who say our Constitution is fundamentally flawed. It is my believe that if you don’t like this Constitution, find a different one and move there. So I AM DONE TRASHING OBAMA..He is doing a good enough job at it himself. He could have been a super here, and is going out of his way to be a super-zero (as in approval ratings). So don’t get mad at me. I have given up hope, and just wonder if “change” is all that the middle class is going to be left with (in their pockets).

A BUSY day yesterday – and that is saying something. The market fell 100 points but it had plenty to reason to fall even more, but didnt’. Bullishness?

RUSSIA
Russia is sending tanks to the Ukraine and buzzing the California coast with bombers. Nice deterrent we have going there. We are becoming the Rodney Dangerfield country. Where is Ronald Ry-gun when we need him?

IRAQ
We are out of Iraq for what? About 12 hours? And now the next Saddam wannabe shows up. The group ISIS is taking oil fields, Tikrit, and several other towns. We spent 10 years (and the reason for being there is debatable in the first place), and we pull out when 90% done? Well, pull your finger out of a bucket of water and see how quickly you are replaced.

The Speaker of the House got on TV yesterday and held a press conference. Now even I have backed off from picking on Obama because making fun of his political successes (clearing throat) is sort of like picking on the slow kid on the playground. The guy has proven any fool can do the same job for 5 years and not learn a thing.

Well…Boehner got on his soap box yesterday and rattled off some of the embarrassing things our President has done to weaken a nation, and ended up storming off the camera saying, “and where is Obama in all this?

Well….after waking from his nap the President apparently heard the Speaker’s message and decided to take decisive action, at least for him. Drone Attack killing 10 people, BUT in Afghanistan – not Iraq.

Reason

Closing: This is what happens when we have a President who views its citizens as a greater threat than terrorist. But when worshiping a Neo-Marxist and fellow “community organizer” (still don’t know what that means) like Saul Alinsky, I can see why. When good friends with Bill Ayers, the guy who bombed the Pentagon in the 1970’s, I KNOW WHY.

So despite all these things that could have shaken the market to the ground, we were not even down 1%. We are still 270 points from the highest levels the market has ever seen. UP

Today

Well, we are NOT going to hit 17,000 today….that I can tell you.

I have no idea what the markets are going to do today.

I would have to say up by the same amount we were down today, but that is a tricky call with all the headlines flying.

We could not fall to the center of the earth yesterday, so there are still lots of buyers out there. But there is the usual government created crisis’s again. Every 6 months, whether we need it or not, this administration pulls the wrong level and BOOM. NO long term thinking, just the daily sound byte is all they care about.

Problems at the VA? Send home a deserting AWOL idiot non-patriotic American Berdahl to take your mind off it. Problems in Iraq? Send a drone into Afghanistan. So anything is possible today, especially with three major solar flares hitting the earth today. But this will likely pass (until the next crisis that could have been averted). 

POT is held each Wednesday night at 7:00pm eastern.

Ever have a gut feeling and it turns out to be right? That is what I had going on when I closed out the Short Crude Oil strangle in August a couple of days ago. In POT I said I wanted to put another one on, but then something inside me said, “vol is too low and the future is not acting right….hold off”. Maybe I will do it today if we run up more. Crude went from 100 to 107. So fill up on gas before the weekend. I am sure the pump price will go up well before anyone actually is buying the more expensive oil.

Trading is almost as much fun as black jack in Vegas, but without all the annoying distractions of free drinks, Broadway shows, gorgeous people with low morals, and free buffets. It also has about the same odds of success, so when you lose all your money you wont have to walk past a smiling pit boss. Even Bruce Wayne lost everything with options in The Dark Knight Rises, and Superman keeps his day job at the DailyPlanet newspaper.

We did NOT get any TARP money, so we are not aligned with any politician. We have the utmost respect for our attorneys who tell us any attempt to trade is throwing money out the window, and investing is risky business (still a great movie). Past performance doesn’t mean a thing. The future is even scarier. There is no guarantee the sun will come up tomorrow. Random Walk and everyone associated with it promises absolutely nothing. We guarantee nothing. We wont ever do anything right unless it is an accident.

Our products are written ONLY by floor traders, fund managers and retired floor traders. They are expensive and unique. That does NOT mean they (materials) come on a tablet of concrete from Mt. Because of the proprietary nature of our materials and the ease of electronic copying, all sales are final. There are far too many people who have no problem stealing our materials and putting them on torrents or copying them. These are the same low-life, selfish, whining, half-wit hypocrites that would cry like a newborn with a wet diaper if someone stole their car radio. They have to pay for our materials before stealing them, and live with their karma (and our legal team). Yes, we have caught a few and now have one person working on detective work solely.

Sales are far from our largest concern. If you are a whiner, complainer, or generally unhappy with life please go to someone else in this industry who values money over happiness. We can point you in the direction of other firms that only care about the bottom and top line. Jerry Springer can also point you in the right direction. Besides whiners are a total distraction from the awesome group of students we are fortunate to have. We are truly blessed and thank them (provided that is fine with our lawyers). “Thank yous” are only handed out in countries where legal and void where prohibited.
