Yesterday

10 economic numbers out yesterday and all we got was a +15 point Dow move…lol.

I thought I was pissed when my parents went to China and all I got was a T-shirt.

It is what it is. The market is setting up to do something big, probably to the upside, and this is how things are. The calm before the storm. But AAPL was up 7.28. Also the cash spread was up almost as much as the OEX was, but on a percentage basis it was up 4 times as much. People are quietly buying

Today

Yesterday I stated that I am not sure if the Dow was going to close up or down 20 points. I looked like a genius for saying that, so I am going to say it again. This quiet sitting at all time highs has to play out until the markets have reason to believe it is safe to buy here.

• Sean helped me remember that this is an IDEAL situation for a garden variety / traditional 1-5 spread. I am doing it today. I have been focusing so much on using them as free hedges that this fell out of my head, but it has been a LONG time where I didn’t have to worry about the market blowing through ALL the strikes.

• We covered stock splits (AAPL) and how the delta and gamma change as a result. Important reading for everyone.

• TLT…Ho can not be happy with this one?

I am well aware that I owe you people material. Truth be told….it was set to go out. I got so mad at myself because I KNEW I could do better. Some of the material is difficult to articulate and really merges into the world of “feel”. How does one describe in words what rain feels like on the skin? It is tough. I knew I could do better and am diligently working on it. Trust me…I am the most productive I have ever been. I want a month or so off after the cruise, so I want to get a lot accomplished so the time in Maui is relaxing and not working.

It has been my fault that I have not kept you appraised in a more timely fashion.

In two weeks you will most likely start to receive the stream coming in.

POT

I promised a professionally printed manual at the end of the year with all the POT write ups. This is still on track. I have done 2 write ups so far, but this has been a SLOW year for the markets (so far). A futures article is in the process. There is also another article I have been working on in anticipating of when this market does finally crack.

ITALY

The material is ahead of schedule and will be mailed prior to the class, but only by a week or two. But it is the first time we are doing things this way and are learning as well. We are not a seminar company, so we want to make sure it doesn’t diminish the product.

Hoe could it do that? If the materials go out 6 weeks ahead of time and all of a sudden the markets do something weird and unprecedented some people get upset and say “This isn’t I the text”. Without someone from RW to explain where it is, or that we will do something about it, this is a disjoint.

We have the utmost respect for our attorneys who tell us any attempt to trade is throwing money out the window, and investing is risky business (still a great movie). Past performance doesn’t mean a thing. The future is even scarier. There is no guarantee the sun will come up tomorrow. Random Walk and everyone associated with it promises absolutely nothing. We guarantee nothing. We wont ever do anything right unless it is an accident.

Because of the proprietary nature of our materials and the ease of electronic copying, all sales are final. There are far too many people who have no problem stealing our materials and putting them on torrents or copying them. They have to pay for our materials before stealing them, and live with their karma (and our legal team). Yes, we have caught a few and now have one person working on detective work solely.

Sales are far from our largest concern. If you are a whiner, complainer, or generally unhappy with life please go to someone else in this industry who values money over happiness. We can point you in the direction of other firms that only care about the bottom and top line. Jerry Springer can also point you in the right direction. Besides whiners are a total distraction from the awesome group of students we are fortunate to have. We are truly blessed and thank them (provided that is fine with our lawyers). “Thank yous” are only handed out in countries where legal and void where prohibited.
