Questions
So many people have been asking these questions that I felt it was best announced publicly. Apparently we rely to much on product and not enough on advertising and announcing to you what we are doing.
Question 1: Will there be anything in Maui about the risk reversal?
Answer 1: Yes, yes, yes. I announced in POT last week that there was 30 pages about it. I was confessed with something else. I have been told there is about 50 pages on just the Risk Reversal.
Question 2: In a POT class you showed us something really neat about the Platinum Hedge in a stock during an earnings period. It saved us $700. Is this in the class? I have not heard about it.
Answer 2: As long as the office doesn’t forget to put it in the text. I know I wrote about it, lol.
Question 3: Is the class sold out?
Answer 3:
Online: Honestly, we were. Those in POT know that we are now about to have 2 different online broadcast platforms for our POT class. Because we can broadcast on two bands (instead of one), we have a few more spaces opened for the online class on January 13 – 17.
Class Room
We have kept the first session VERY small because it is also being recorded. The more people the more background noise. But we had to have some people attend live because they signed up last year during the last session and could not make it because of kid’s school schedules (or something else). We can squeeze 1 or 2 more in that session if you really, really can’t make the second and want to attend live.
As for the second big class. It is sold out. We had 1 person who had to switch to the first session, so there is room for 1 person (or a couple). The room we have is the biggest in the hotel, but it still can only accommodate a certain number of people.
Question 4: Is this really your last time in Maui, or the last course? Or where you just kidding. I can never tell.
Answer 4: It is not my last time in Maui. My youngest is almost in high-school, and then I am moving there. As for Random Walk…..we do NOT plan on being there next year. There is a lot of people requesting a trip to Europe, Australia, or a cruise. As always, we will let our students determine where they want this company to go to. We do not have sales goals, or a budget based on sales. We take 90% of our direction from our students who know better than we what they want/need.
As for our last Text?
I really think it is. I know that there are a lot of little things we can still cover, but most of it is a niche subject that is only pertinent to a small minority of students. So we will most likely do small pamphlets (like the CIS one), and 2 day mini course.
It is humbling (sincerely humbling) how much interest is in this class. I hope it is because of the quality of the product we deliver and not because everyone (the competition) else was so focused on profits that they are now out of business. We want to be the best because of quality, trust, integrity and practical applications – not because of a good advertising campaign. I am sure it doesn’t hurt that we put our money/reputation where our mouth is. Everyone can see our results. So if we stink, it is obvious. Thank you.
Another record day for the Dow. Back during the government shutdown 3 months ago I predicted a December 31 close at 16,500. We are now only 205.39 points away. Now I am nervous…lol. Had I sold the December SPX 1850 straddle or the DJX 165 straddle I would be a hero.
The Dow closed up 73.47 at 16,294.61
AAPL closed up 21.07 at 570.29
AAPL finally announced a deal with China Mobile and this will carry the stock to $600. The only question is if the stock can surpass the previous all-time high of 705?
The VIX was down 0.65 at 13.04
Expect to see the VIX hammered near the middle or end of the day. Tomorrow the market is closed and they will take the 1 day decay out today.
I have no idea why the TLT was down the day the Fed announced tapering but lower rates, but was up on Friday. The ETF closed up 1.58 at 104.25.
KABOOM
GLD = 115.57 down 0.37
SLV = 18.72 up 0.10
TSLA closed up 0.31 at 143.55
-
up 0.53.
POT people, I was set to spread this off as the stock was hovering around 14.75, but then we started to glide higher (just like Ebay today), so I held on. Depending on the action tomorrow I might spread of the 14 – 15 call spread purchased for $0.35 on 30 contracts.
Yesterday
A slow but up day as is almost guaranteed in the Constitution 2 days before Christmas.
Today
Durable goods and new home sales numbers have the potential to move the markets to the downside, but that would be just UN-American the shortened day before Christmas. At 2:30am eastern the E-minis were down 0.50 and the Dow futures were unchanged. AAPL was unchanged, but will likely extend its gains today or Thursday with the people late to the party.
PLEA
Please tell someone you know that they do not have to be a victim in the government created stock market bubble. I don’t care where they learn to hedge from. Send them somewhere else if you like. Buy them our BASICS book for Christmas. Buy them someone else book But help a friend out.

Attorney Stuff
Lawyer Junk That Actually Is Important
(it cost us enough, so please enjoy it)
Trading is almost as much fun as black jack in Vegas, but without all the annoying distractions of free drinks, Broadway shows, gorgeous people with low morals, and free buffets. It also has about the same odds of success, so when you lose all your money you wont have to walk past a smiling pit boss. Even Bruce Wayne lost everything with options in The Dark Knight Rises, and Superman keeps his day job at the DailyPlanet newspaper.
We have the utmost respect for our attorneys who tell us any attempt to trade is throwing money out the window, and investing is risky business (still a great movie). Past performance doesn’t mean a thing. The future is even scarier. There is no guarantee the sun will come up tomorrow. Random Walk and everyone associated with it promises absolutely nothing. We guarantee nothing. We wont ever do anything right unless it is an accident.
Random Walk only provides education (and a great cup of Starbucks if you visit our office). If you want advice please consult an attorney, licensed broker, Joe Kearnan, tax consultant, investment adviser, etc. Random Walk, LLC is full of morons, dolts, has-been(s), chromosome damaged individuals, thieves, losers, and carnival barkers. Any attempt to find a semblance of intelligence or integrity in Random Walk would be a waste of time.
When reading this you acknowledge that you agree to hold harmless Random Walk, LLC, its employees, independent contractors, authors, managers, owner(s), spouses, children, cousins, friends, bail bondsmen, and favorite bartender. In fact, you agree to grow up, accept some responsibility for your own actions, and stop believing the media that sells you on how nothing is your fault. You further agree in the antiquated and lost values that America is the land of opportunity and not the land of handouts. You agree any loss in the markets is a result of your own actions as we told you NOT to trade without consulting someone other than us.
All paper trades are SOLELY for example and to illustrate how certain strategies could perform without the benefit of hindsight and back-testing. You agree NOT to trade based on anything we say, do, write, advertise, etc. If we were smart we would be teaching high-school math and making the really big bucks. You agree to abide by the laws of your country and that it is legal to accept this transmission.
Every attempt has been made to ensure accuracy, but we are clueless. As a result it would be foolish and impossible to assure the accuracy of any numbers and/or come close to writing a sentence that is grammatically correct. You agree not to get on our case emotionally, physically, spiritually (no Voodoo dolls please) or legally when we screw up. We are doing our best to keep up with evolution, but it is a fast race and we are falling behind. If any of this stuff is too hard to accept please let us know and we will remove you from our mailing list and short term memory.
Random Walk deeply cares about each and every student. We try to keep the selling of products to a minimum. We believe our students are a result of attraction rather than promotion. This does NOT mean that the more attractive you are, the more we promote ourselves (in general).
We do NOT do infomercials at 2:00am. The last thing we want in our classes is a room full of insomniacs and crack addicts, or people wanting to get a free Ginsu knife. We do NOT do “free” 2-hour seminars, so hold on to your wallet – no $3,000 surprise coming from Random Walk. But it would be kind of fun to do just one, so we can’t make any promises about the future.
Our products are written ONLY by floor traders, fund managers and retired floor traders. They are expensive and unique. That does NOT mean they (materials) come on a tablet of concrete from Mt. Sinai. We do NOT sell “special software”, though occasionally we give some out for FREE to our current students. If you enjoy buying software please go to Best Buy. If you are still reading this, you will likely be the first to have gotten this far. No guarantee for accuracy is made
Because of the proprietary nature of our materials and the ease of electronic copying, all sales are final. There are far too many people who have no problem stealing our materials and putting them on torrents or copying them. These are the same low-life, selfish, whining, half-wit hypocrites that would cry like a newborn with a wet diaper if someone stole their car radio. They have to pay for our materials before stealing them, and live with their karma (and our legal team). Yes, we have caught a few and now have one person working on detective work solely.
Sales are far from our largest concern. If you are a whiner, complainer, or generally unhappy with life please go to someone else in this industry who values money over happiness. We can point you in the direction of other firms that only care about the bottom and top line. Jerry Springer can also point you in the right direction. Besides whiners are a total distraction from the awesome group of students we are fortunate to have. We are truly blessed and thank them (provided that is fine with our lawyers). “Thank yous” are only handed out in countries where legal and void where prohibited. If your country does not allow “thank yous” please refrain from accepting it. This disclaimer is copyright material and not a joke.
